It is a fairly dark and dismal day when the ‘D’ word appears.
I was not expecting it and certainly did not welcome it, but there I was and there it came.
It had been a fairly trying time.
I definitely was not at my best.
Such is the nature of the beast that crept up on me, unfurling itself and manipulating. Before I knew it I had succumbed to a bastard I never even knew was there and all of a sudden the world was a totally different place…

So, having been whisked away from The Potting Shed I am driven a short distance to Eastthorpe Hall where I am to lunch and experience life on the ‘other’ side. As the door swings wide open and a beaming Steph ushers me in, the first thing I notice is the quiet.
There is utter quiet, peaceful and calm.
It is impossible not to feel the stresses of day to day craziness fall away as you step into the sumptuous wood panelled surroundings and I am sure the doorstep is laden heavy with the worries left there routinely by clients before their entering in.

I was delighted to be asked to review the new venture from the award-winning team at Eastthorpe Hall earlier this Summer. Having tried and tested some of the world’s finest spa resorts, at home and overseas, I was eager to discover what a more local and independent brand could offer.

After a very early train I arrived to find this welcome….

So, there are any number of articles telling the female of the species what exactly we should all be wearing. When how, and what effect this will have on our partners, lovers, husbands. However, there are few and far between such indispensable guides for the stronger sex. Given some of the utter travesties I have recently witnessed attempt to pass for being well-dressed, I decided to give you all the benefit of the female point of view. Which let’s face it, is the the only opinion that truly counts!
